Grimsby Town Foundation is delighted to announce a new partnership with Lincolnshire Cricket as part of our Premier League Kicks Programme.

This partnership will provide young people aged 8-15 in the local community with FREE, year-round cricket and football sessions.

With the support of both sports organizations, we aim to promote physical activity, build teamwork and leadership skills, and offer a fun, engaging environment for participants to thrive.

Benefits of the partnership for participants will include:

• Multi-sport sessions led by trained coaches, designed to introduce and develop both cricket and football skills.
• Opportunities for young people to participate in community matches and tournaments, representing Grimsby Town Foundation.
• A focus on social development, using sport to boost confidence, improve mental health, and foster a sense of belonging within the community.
• Workshops

On the announcement of the new partnership, Our Premier League Kicks Lead Mikey Pickett said, “Introducing young people to a variety of sporting activities not only helps them develop a wide range of physical skills, but also encourages teamwork and resilience.”

“By participating in both football and cricket, they gain more of an understanding of sportsmanship and confidence, and have the chance to discover new passion for a sport.”
This partnership is all about using the power of sport to bring young people together, develop their potential, and strengthen our local community!”
