Fair Play League

Expanding weekly football academies to cover three additional wards and re-establishing the Fair Play League monthly meeting, providing positive activities for young people to engage in.

The project aims to increase diversionary sporting activity provision in two areas of Northeast Lincolnshire by increasing sessions at existing providers, culminating in a Fair Play League day involving young people from each area coming together for a team football tournament.

The Fair Play League is open to both boys and girls aged 12 to 19. The sessions run three nights per week, 2-hour sessions.  Young People are diverted to the activity through local schools, Youth Justice and the YPSS outreach team. This project is being delivered by Northeast Lincolnshire Council in conjunction with Grimsby Town Football Club.
