MONTHLY UPDATE: JUNE

A group of seven boys, wearing red training bibs, stand in front of a soccer goal on an outdoor field. Other players are visible in the background.

The summer months are here and so is Grimsby Town Foundation’s monthly update. As well as all of our evening sessions we deliver within the community, here is everything else we have going on this month that we would love you to get involved in.

Premier League Primary Stars Provisions

Now that all schools are back after their half-term breaks, the delivery of our entire Premier League Primary Stars (PLPS) programmes resumes in all schools from today up until the end of the academic year.

As part of the PSPL provisions, we have been running targeted interventions and supporting teachers in P.E. These come in blocks of six, and our most recent block will be coming to an end over the next couple of weeks, due to the two recent bank holiday Mondays.

If you’re a school local to the Grimsby area and want to get involved, click here to see what we offer and how you can enquire ahead of the 2024/25 academic year.

Girls Emerging Talent Centre (ETC)

After the success of last week’s workshop at Blundell Park, ETC lead Ben Challen is holding another workshop on Wednesday 19th. The topic of this workshop is yet to be decided, but once that has been confirmed we will share it on our social media platforms.

Disability Football

Our disability sessions on a Saturday are still running throughout the month, and if you keep an eye out for July’s update, there is a disability tournament we are getting involved in that we will be able to share more information about closer to the time.

If you haven’t already seen, our Disability and Inclusion Lead, Jason Land, has appeared on the most recent episode of the Lincolnshire Grassroots Football podcast. Jason is the disability ambassador for the Lincolnshire FA and talks all about his journey to where he is now.
