Grimsby Town Ability Count FC (GTACFC) is an Inclusive football club offering competitive affiliated football to all players with special educational needs and or a disability (SEND) of all abilities over the age of 16 years. Grimsby Town Foundation works closely with GTACFC in partnership with them, supporting delivering coaching sessions and supporting match days.
GTACFC currently have 4 teams playing a 5v5 format at 3 different ability levels:
Premier League level: players participating at this level are able to cope physically, have good levels of spatial awareness, excellent ability to understand tactics and good levels of physical strength and fitness.
Championship level: players participating at this level are mobile, have spatial and tactical awareness, knowledge of the laws of the game and have a good level of fitness.
League level: players participating at this level have limited mobility, spatial awareness and fitness.
The GTACFC teams play a festival-style format, playing 8 fixture days over the season in the Lincolnshire Ability Count Football League. The league has teams from across the county of Lincolnshire taking part with fixture days taking place at a central venue in Lincoln.
Training for GTACFC takes place at Ross Sports Ground, Peaks Lane Grimsby on a Sunday morning from 11:00am – 12:00pm
