Girls Emerging Talent Centre Open Session Dates Confirmed

Grimsby Town Foundation will be hosting a range of open session events for the Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre in July and August.

The Emerging Talent Centre (ETC) is now entering its 4th season at Grimsby Town Foundation and is the place to be when it comes to developing young aspiring female footballers in the area.

The ETC is centered around developing the girl’s game in the area to support and work with grassroots teams to be additional training and support for talented female footballers. This programme is partially funded by the Football Association (FA) and works within the England Talent Pathway.

The Open sessions will be split into separate age groups with the Goalkeepers embedded within these. They will be held at Franklin College across the following dates listed below:

  • July 27th 2026
    • Under 11s – 3:30pm Arrival
    • Under 12s – 6:00pm Arrival
  • August 3rd 2026
    • Under 13/14s – 3:30pm Arrival
    • Under 15/16s – 6:00pm Arrival

The open session events will begin with a talk about the wider female pathway regarding opportunities that Grimsby Town Foundation offers including our new Girls Advanced Development Centres (ADC).

Once Completed we will move onto the pitch to run the practical session, which will mirror the delivery of the ETC programme with elements such as strength & conditioning, technical training and small sided games. This element of the session will be two hours.

As aforementioned the event will start inside with the talk about the wider female pathway which will be held in the main hall next to the reception at Franklin College. Then will move outside onto the grass at the college. Make sure to bring football boots and plenty of fluids.
