Cambridge Park Premier League Kicks Participants Represent Grimsby Town Foundation at Premier League Disability Football Festival

Our Cambridge Park Premier League Kicks participants proudly represented Grimsby Town Foundation at the Premier League Disability Football Festival, hosted by Burnley FC in the Community at Soccer Burnley on Wednesday 8th July.

The festival brought together 190 young people from 23 Football Club Charities from across the country for an inspiring day of inclusive football, teamwork and celebration. It provided our participants with the opportunity to compete against teams from across the Premier League community network, develop new friendships and create lasting memories in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Throughout the day, our Cambridge Park Premier League Kicks participants displayed fantastic determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. Every player represented Grimsby Town Foundation with pride, showing resilience, encouragement and respect both on and off the pitch.

While there were plenty of exciting matches, the day was about much more than the results. It gave participants the opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, develop their football skills and enjoy the experience of taking part in a national disability football festival. A special highlight for many was the chance to see the iconic Premier League Trophy, making the day even more memorable.

Celebrating Inclusion Through Football

The Premier League Disability Football Festival showcases the power of football to bring people together and create opportunities for everyone, regardless of ability. The event enabled young people with Special Educational Needs, physical disabilities, sensory impairments and additional needs to participate in the game they love while promoting confidence, inclusion and a strong sense of belonging.

The positive atmosphere, encouragement and enjoyment shown throughout the day highlighted exactly what disability football is all about—creating opportunities, breaking down barriers and ensuring every young person has the chance to thrive.
