CARERS’ SUPPORT SERVICE IN ATTENDANCE AT CREWE GAME AS PART OF MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVE

Two individuals stand on a soccer field with a large red-seated stadium in the background. One person wears a scarf and coat, the other is in sportswear.

The Carers’ Support Service will be in attendance at Saturday’s game to promote the work that they do in North East Lincolnshire as part of our mental health initiative supported by the Premier League Fans Fund.

The Carers’ Support Service is the main port of call for Carers in North Eastern Lincolnshire, offering a range of free and confidential support, practically or emotionally to those that are in need.

A Carer is defined as someone who provides unpaid necessary care by looking after a family member, friend, child or partner, who is ill, frail, disabled, has a mental health problem or substance misuse problem, who could not otherwise manage without your support.

You may need to help with bathing, toileting, grocery shopping, paying bills, and doctors’ appointments or just be there on the other end of the phone for reassurance.

The Carers’ Support Service can offer a range of services to support carers from emotional support and counselling to workshops and workshops and training.

They also have carers groups and substance misuse support available as well as the ability to offer support when you come to the end of your caring role.

Opening times for the Carers’ Support Centre for North East Lincolnshire are as follows:

Monday – 8am-5pm
Tuesday – 8am-5pm
Wednesday – 8am-5pm
Thursday – 8am-7pm
Friday – 8am-5pm
Saturday – 10am-2pm

There is also a helpline that’s open 8am-7pm on weekdays and 10am-2pm over a weekend.
