Supporters attending this evening’s game are encouraged to get behind a special collection in aid of Grimsby Aid to Ukraine, a non-profit humanitarian organisation founded in 2025 by long-serving steward Mark Smith.
After more than 14 years serving on matchdays, Mark has witnessed first-hand the incredible community spirit that defines our supporters. Inspired by the kindness and unity he has seen around the Club, he launched the charity to provide vital assistance to people impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
Since its formation, Grimsby Aid to Ukraine has delivered emergency relief including medical supplies, food, clothing, shelter, heating, and lighting, while also supporting longer-term recovery efforts. Volunteers have travelled across Europe to ensure aid reaches those who need it most, building strong links with hospitals, care facilities, schools, orphanages, local communities, and military units.
Now, fans have the opportunity to make a direct difference.
Collection points will be in place ahead of kick-off between the Pontoon and Ramsden’s Family Stand on Imperial Avenue, with supporters invited to donate items such as medical supplies, clothing, dried and tinned foods, mobility aids, stationery, books, toys, baby food, nappies, candles, and military surplus. Financial contributions to support the transportation of aid are also welcomed.
Every donation, big or small, will help provide hope and practical support to people living through extremely challenging circumstances.
Let’s once again show the power of our football community by coming together for an important cause. If you’re able to contribute, please bring an item along with you this evening and support the volunteers working tirelessly to help others.
