SUMMER CAMPS | KELLOGG’S AND HAF WEEK 1

We are delighted to announce that our first week of delivering Kellogg’s summer camps and Grimsby Town Foundation Holiday, Activity and Food programmes has been a huge success.

Across the two camps, we have had over 80 participants come along and take part in various activities with our dedicated coaches.

Kellogg’s Summer Camp – Franklin College

Our first 3-day Kellogg’s course of the summer was held at Franklin college in Grimsby, in which our coaches welcomed 44 participants across the three days to participate in various football-related activities.

Throughout the course, the children took part in various warm up games, including a fan-favourite game of Sin Bin, plenty of various drills such as passing, shooting and defending, as well as a variety of small-sided games and mini tournaments.

Wednesday was the final day of the course in which we always allow the children to participate in a range of skills challenges to be in with a chance of winning an award.
We celebrated the end of our first course by handing out certificates and stickers to all participants, as well as awarding the winners of the skills challenges, coaches player and players’ player.

There are still places available on our Kellogg’s courses throughout the summer, which can be booked by clicking here.

HAF Programme – Ross Sports Ground

Our first Holiday, activity and food programme was a huge success as Jason Land, our disability and inclusion lead, as well as other coaches, welcomed 40 participants on both days.
We had plenty of activities going on for every child to get involved with. This included dodgeball, footgolf and zorbball as well as giant games such as jenga, connect 4 and ten pin bowling.

RWE, the leading power generator for the UK, who have just appointed their first ever East coast director for net zero very kindly presented the foundation with goodie bags for all the children. In the goodie bags, the children received sweets and an airplane which they can build out of foam.
