Grimsby Town Foundation are pleased to announce the next installment of monthly mental health workshops as part of our ‘Beyond the Pitch’ initiative with former Mariner Nathan Arnold, starting next Wednesday 29th January at Blundell Park.
The initiative was launched as part of the Club’s on-going project to promote services to improve the mental wellbeing of people in our community.
Week one of the 2025 workshops is all about understanding and managing emotions and the dates for the workshops up until July are as follows:
Wednesday 29th January
Wednesday 26th February
Wednesday 19th March
Wednesday 30th April
Wednesday 28th May
Wednesday 25th June
Wednesday 23rd July
One participant spoke about the effect the workshops have personally had on them and said, “Nathan’s workshops have helped me understand many of the issues involved with mental health that perhaps I hadn’t thought about previously.
“The workshops are excellently delivered by Nathan, and I would recommend to anybody who is either suffering or looking to help somebody that might be struggling.”
On the importance of these workshops being available to people in the local community, Nathan said: Through these themed workshops, we aim to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore practical ways to nurture their mental wellbeing.
“By focusing on holistic health, we empower participants to not only improve their own lives, but also positively impact the wider community.”
All workshops will take place in the Lower Bar at Blundell Park from 6:30-8:30pm and can be booked by clicking here.
With those who are looking for specific one-to-one support, Nathan Arnold also has sessions available which can be booked by clicking here.
