FA Award for Jason

A man with shoulder-length dark hair and a beard, wearing a black polo shirt with a sports team's emblem, stands on a soccer field with empty red and white stands in the background, proudly holding his FA Award for Jason.

We are delighted to announce that Grimsby Town Foundation’s Jason Land has received the FA’s Hope Award for 2024.

The Hope Award is named after Charlotte Hope, the young volunteer who tragically lost her life last year and who was a formidable force participating in an overseas football charity using football to positively change the lives of young children.

Jason, who is also the Lincolnshire FA’s Disability Ambassador, was chosen as the stand-out candidate by the FA’s panel for the substantial role he has played in the development of disability football.

Partially sighted himself, he has been involved in disability football for over 24 years as a player and combines coaching Grimsby Town’s disability team and working with local schools and community groups for the Foundation.

As part of the award, Jason will be a guest of the FA in the royal box at an up-coming England international at Wembley.

Congratulations, Jason!
