Vacancy: Casual Community Coach

Grimsby Town Foundation is seeking enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Casual Community Coaches, helping to inspire and support people across North East Lincolnshire through the power of sport.

Working across our growing programme of schools, holiday camps and community initiatives, you’ll play an important role in delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality coaching sessions that make a genuine difference to people’s lives.

As the charitable arm of Grimsby Town Football Club, our mission is to help people in our community live happier, healthier lives by creating opportunities through football, sport, recreation and education. About the Role

As a Casual Community Coach, you’ll support the delivery of a wide range of Foundation programmes, working with participants of all ages and abilities in schools, holiday clubs and community settings.

The successful candidates will create safe, enjoyable and inclusive environments where participants can develop both on and off the pitch, while proudly representing Grimsby Town Foundation within the local community.

This flexible, casual role is ideal for coaches looking to gain valuable experience within a professional football club’s charitable foundation, while making a lasting impact across the region.

Key Responsibilities

The role will include:

  • Delivering engaging coaching sessions across schools, holiday clubs and community programmes.
  • Creating safe, positive and inclusive environments for participants.
  • Supporting the planning and organisation of coaching activities.
  • Promoting the Foundation’s values while acting as a positive role model.
  • Building strong relationships with schools, participants and community partners.
  • Ensuring all sessions are delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies.
  • Supporting Foundation events, festivals and community engagement activities.

  • A genuine desire to develop their coaching skills while making a positive impact within the local community.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, and applicants will be required to complete all relevant safeguarding requirements as part of the recruitment process.
