SUMMER CAMPS | KELLOGG’S AND HAF WEEK 2

We are pleased to announce that week two of our Kellogg’s summer camps and Grimsby Town Foundation Holiday, Activity and Food programmes have been a huge success.

This week, our Kellogg’s camps were held across three different locations and across Immingham, Louth and Caistor we had a total of 121 participants.

The weather, again, was perfect for the children to run around and keep active in, with many wearing football shirts with their heroes on the back, which relates nicely to Kellogg’s tagline for the camps, to ‘play in the footsteps of your heroes’.

This week, the coaches delivered a variety of dribbling drills, passing drills and shooting technique. These skills were then implemented into a game so the children could put what they learnt into practice. There were also plenty of team-bonding games, which helped to improve the communication between the participants when playing small-sided games.

Places are still available for the remainder of our camps throughout the summer in various locations and you can click here to book.

HAF Programme – Ross Sports Ground

This week, we welcomed 30 participants on both days of our second HAF programme this summer.

On Thursday, we had an Olympic-themed day. Children took part in many fun and engaging activities, including lawn darts, relay races and frisbee.

The participants also had a visit from a familiar face in Mighty Mariner. He came and took pictures with the children and joined in with some of the activities. He even went in goal for a game of football.
