The East Marsh Smoking Cessation Project will be in attendance at tomorrow’s game against MK Dons at Blundell Park to promote the work that they do in the community as part of our mental health initiative supported by the Premier League Fans Fund.
Had enough of smoking and want help to stop? Free support is available!
The Wellbeing Service can provide you with free vapes and other nicotine replacement products such as patches and gum. They can also provide one-to-one support and encouragement via coaching sessions for up to 12 weeks.
We know that quitting can sometimes take a few attempts, and all that matters is that you keep on trying. When you use the service, you will be allocated a Wellbeing Worker who will support you in your journey to quitting.
Your Wellbeing worker will talk to you about:
Why you want to stop smoking – Knowing your goals and your ‘why’, helps you to stay focused.
Habits and cravings – Smoking routines are normal, like having a cigarette first thing in the morning, with a cuppa, or with friends at the pub. This is when you’ll be most tempted, so they will help you come up with a plan to help you in these moments.
Staying motivated – They will cheer you on and help you stay motivated when things are tough.
You’ll speak to your Wellbeing worker throughout your 12-week programme and they will also be there to support you after if you need them too.
Your advisor can also provide you with free nicotine replacement products including:
Vapes
Patches
Gum
Inhalators
Nasal/mouth sprays
The Wellbeing service offers support at drop-in sessions at various venues in the community, including:
Blundell Park at tomorroww’s game against MK Dons
