NEL4HEROES AT DONCASTER GAME AS PART OF MENTAL HEALTH INITIATIVE

Three people stand on a football field. One man shakes hands with a woman, and another man holds a ticket. The stadium seats are visible in the background.

Grimsby Town Foundation are pleased to announce that NEL4HEROES are in attendance today to promote the work that they do in the community as part of our new mental health initiative launched last month.

NEL4HEREOES are a peer-to-peer support group ran by HM forces-served personnel to provide support to ex-military personnel in North East Lincolnshire.

NEL4HEREOES exist to provide any veterans and their families with support they may need. This may be a listening ear, well-being support or signposting to local services to help meet their requirements.

Members of the charity are here in branded clothing and hi-vis jackets and are here handing out leaflets that promote what they do for any veterans or ex-military personnel who may be at the game.

Every Wednesday, the charity host a coffee morning at Sussex Recreational Ground Pavilion from 10-12 and anyone is welcome, which you can find out more about by visiting their Facebook Page on the QR code or contacting them via email on Contact@nel4heroes.org.uk

Krisine Green, Head of Community Projects at Grimsby Town Foundation spoke about the importance of giving the charity a place to promote their work and said, and said, “North East Lincolnshire has a strong base of veterans, some of whom would like or need that little bit of extra support and NEL4Heroes provide exactly that and do an excellent job.

“Their presence at the game today is to promote the work that they do to the wider public who may not be aware of them but may know somebody that would benefit from connecting with them.

“We are grateful to the Premier League Fans Fund for continuing to support this initiative”
