Grimsby Town Foundation are pleased to inform that we will be holding an open evening for those interested in studying with us in partnership with the University of South Wales and EFL in the Community on Wednesday 29th January.
The Foundation has been running both the football and sports development foundation degrees since 2014, and over that time has seen more than 70 students come away with a foundation degree and over 50 with a BSc honours degree.
The courses were designed in conjunction with the EFL Trust, in order to identify the types of skills and qualities that are required to work within professional football clubs, community departments or national governing bodies, in areas of growth such as social inclusion, community coaching and football development.
The Open Evening is a great opportunity for prospective students to attend and ask questions surrounding the courses and we will be showing a PowerPoint which talks about our blended learning approach, work-based learning opportunities and much more.
We’d like to encourage parents to attend this event with your son/daughter as we recognise that this is an important step in your child’s future and so you can gauge an understanding of what we can offer in comparison to the traditional route of going to university.
On the importance of holding this event, Education Mentor Paul Davies said, “We want to encourage anyone who is interested in going down the sports coaching route to consider the course we offer in partnership with the University of South Wales.
“A blended learning approach allows our students to experience first hand the practical elements whilst on placement working alongside our experienced coaches delivering sessions across schools and community settings on a weekly basis.
The event will be held in the Pro-Ampac Lounge in Blundell Park and you can book on by clicking here.
We look forward to welcoming prospective students to Blundell Park!
