Grimsby Town Foundation appoints Jonathan Allan as Foundation Director

Grimsby Town Foundation is delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan Allan as its new Foundation Director.

Jonathan joins the Foundation from Rotherham United Community Trust, where he most recently served as Director of Development, playing a key role in delivering one of the country’s leading football club charities. During his time at the Trust, he helped shape its income generation strategy, develop strategic partnerships and oversee major community projects that generated significant social impact across Rotherham.

With more than 20 years’ experience working across education, sport and the charity sector, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge in community development, partnership building and organisational leadership. Throughout his career, he has been committed to using the power of sport to improve lives, creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds while developing sustainable programmes that make a lasting difference.

Prior to his role as Director of Development, Jonathan held senior leadership positions at Rotherham United Community Trust and Active Fusion, delivering innovative projects focused on health, education, inclusion and community engagement. His work has helped secure substantial investment, establish long-term partnerships and support thousands of participants through impactful community initiatives.

As Foundation Director, Jonathan will lead the next phase of the Foundation’s development, working alongside staff, trustees, partners and the Football Club to further strengthen its role at the heart of the local community.

Speaking following his appointment, Jonathan said:

I bring 12 years’ experience working in the charity sector, and I’m determined to use that experience to build on the strong foundations already in place and help the Foundation achieve even more for the communities it serves.
